Well, I had my first day off in two weeks! So needless to say it has been creative chaos at the studio with new Freelancers coming in and out like the trade winds in Poipu! The people I meet have the coolest personalities and needless to say amazing designing capabilities. Going to work is like going to school everyday I learn something new or a whole chapter worth of information. I recently spoke with grandpas on fathers day and when they asked about my experience here in Kauai, I realized how much I learn everyday, and how much I really enjoy it!
I hope that I can use this experience to help other girls and women to not be afraid but to take the chance and find the courage to always learn and grow. I have worked with some amazing women these last few weeks and really admire their love of always growing and working as hard as I have ever seen anyone work. I hope when I grow up I can be like some of the women I work with.
I enjoy people watching as well as connecting with people on a one on one experience, To sit and watch in the studio would be a dream! But I have to work to keep up with everyone. One of the things I learned this last week is the best event florist is the invisible one. The one who comes in, sets up and is gone in a flash, and the customer had no idea you were even there. Essentially the florist creates magic the flowers aren't there the next minute the room blooming:) enjoy the pun. I love the magic of it, to create the atmosphere of a great day and great night which equals a day to always remember.

Hard work and good attitude.
I have always been taught to work hard and have a good attitude, whether it came from my parents, or at church or the people I associate with, it seems to be a reoccurring theme. Yet, no matter how many times they have told me I never thought about until today. Yes, I know all of you are gawking and saying I told you so, but I haven't not paid attention, I have applied it and done what you all have said: but, I never really thought about why I do it.
So thank you for teaching me great principles and attributes.
I have known people who work hard with a bad attitude, whether it was at church school or in any other form, and have found they are not pleasant to be around, and even though you appreciate their work, you feel like you could have done with out the attitude. I have known the double negative, bad attitude and bad work ethic, and wonder to this day how those people will survive in life. Then there are the people with the good attitude and bad work ethic who to be frank drive me crazy. Last, I have known people who are the double positive, which are the people I remember the most. The ones where if I have to do something hard they are the ones I want by my side to get the job done.
So I have decided to be the double positive all the time, I know I work hard all the time but don't always have the best attitude So I found a way to improve myself, and the atmosphere around me.... so here is to a new start and a better person!

a sense of fulfillment
I posted the pictures of the Arrangements I did for the St. Regis , here is a special treat for me anyways, on my adventure today I went to the st. Regis and took pictures of my arrangements there. I felt so good knowing that I had done them, with help obviously from MartinRoberts Design, all credit of any flowers at the Grand Hyatt or The St. Regis, is due to them.
