I am Grateful for ...

for their example and faith. 

This morning I was just sitting and doing homework and emailing, when I hit my favorites page I realized I had been to LDS.org quite a few times and that video was on the front page this morning.  As I watched this video it reminded me of my own experience with a temple celebration. I thought about how lucky I am to have had a temple so close to me my whole life. How grateful I am that I was able to gain a testimony so early in my life of the great importance and worth of a temple. I have only ever lived five months of my life without a temple within driving distance. I want you all to know that I have a testimony of the temple.  I know that as we go and partake of the ordinances within we are blessing the lives of others and receiving blessing ourselves. I know that without this building we could not be seal for time and all eternity to our families. How lucky we are in these latter-day to have been blessed with temples all over the world to continue the Lord's work and help carry on the kingdom and the everlasting blessings that he would freely give to us if we are worthy to enter. I know Heavenly Father lives and loves us. I know he sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. I know that it is through this atonement we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to this earth and that he translated the Book of Mormon , and that it is truly another testament of Jesus Christ.  I know that we a prophet on earth today who is here to lead us back to God and help us along the way. 

I hope today we can all remember why it is we are here and give a prayer of thanks to our Heavenly Father for the many blessing such as temples he gives us. I know I will:)

Presidents Weekend

Hello there, To finish off the inspirations, I will just tell you what I did for the weekend.

Friday: Waited and waited to finally leave rexburg in the dusk and get to my family,
Saw my family and this hug sigh of relief swept through me when I got to the midway house... I gave me dad a hug and was so crazy excited it was awesome.

we stayed up talking and my family grilled poor Kade. It was bound to happen.... so the earlier the better?

Saturday: we went to the hub, then my parents went down the hill to get the boys and we went shopping:) I got a super cute skirt some cute shirts and shoes:) then we went home and went to hop  in the spa with the boys. then My parents and Kade and I headed down the hill to see a movie with Blair and Lisa, we saw unknown then grabbed dinner, then headed off to the airport to get Connor, and headed home.

Sunday: we woke up had a great breakfast, then went to church, had a mini scripture study, then left for the Walker's for a super yummy yummy dinner and fun with the family watching the amazing race. then went home played an awesome game. Kade Walker and I watched Percy Jackson then went to sleep

Monday: the boys and I went  tubing at Solider Hollow and then my family left for home. Kade Zack and I headed to Salt Lake for lunch and then headed home stopping to see the giant potato in Blackfoot , the population sign in Firth and a few other things in Idaho Falls then home to a freezing snow covered Rexburg, now I am back and ready to start studying for my Plant culture Final. woohooooo.... not.

I know this is totally silly and crazy over romantic, but honestly everyone is searching for a love just like this. Myself included, and its not until we can embrace the love that surrounds us everyday that we can deserve a love like this, so its very appropriate that my theme for valentines is love. But also the theme in my life, what I love to do, what are my love interests, who I can give all my love and support too, and why I need to be doing a better job all the way across the board.

Wednesday

My main inspiration today comes from my mom:) 

In class today, I was doing the usual blog stocking, and I found these shoes:)

on Sacramento Street blog, so I tried but I couldn't zoom in enough to find out the brand on the shoes, so I shot over an email to my awesome mom, who not only found them but an awesome website, and bought them. Do you get any cooler than the two of us?

Lately, I find myself being as calm and collected as she is. I had a long day and came home and went through the motion made dinner set the table grabbed a good book, and sat down. I realized I had made a dinner my mom makes on the fly when it needs be fast and easy. I call it having a "mom moment"

I also dress a lot like her, partly because she buys me super clothes, partly because she gives me great advice, and mostly because she has elegant style and always stays true to herself even when the fashion style isn't hers. Some of my other "mom moments" consist of

calling Kade a turkey when he is being goofy

stopping in borders to look at interesting coffee table books  

making sure I am wearing the right jewelry

using her dinner plans

reading like its the best thing in the world

using "Fresh" products

there are many others those are the only ones I can think of on the fly. But she really is such a great inspiration and anyone who knows her can attest to her wonderful personality.

Its Tuesday!

I know, I know I posted Monday earlier, I was busy last night:) 

Inspirations for tuesday, it was the most gorgeous warm day Rexburg has seen in a long while!! I wore my sunglasses to class, no heavy jacket, and smiled like the goofball I am all the way there. 

Okay, Inspirational thoughts I found in my world today.

Elder Didete spoke at devotional on being a humble servant in search of happiness. 

How appropriate? I know I thought the same thing!!

He taught of embracing the gospel and the Plan of Happiness. He also spoke of his wife of 50 years. I just couldn't help but to think, oh how cute! Then hit me like a block of bricks! He needs her as much as she needs him to keep her on track and going in the direction they should be.  Which made me think of Kade, who even though we haven't know each other that long, is always pushing me to be better and helping me grow as person. In fact earlier today, I was in a super sarcastic mood and he totally called me on it and I immediately realized I pushing it to far, man I am grateful for that man! 

The next inspiration came from seeing old friends, and realizing how much life changes and how quickly. I also thought about how much the little things no longer matter, who dated who, why they dated and who lost weight who is still at school etc. As long as everyone is happy and safe it wipes away the messy stuff and you can start again. It was a great feeling to feel that love of old friends and remember that great times you shared and why it is you were friends in the first place. Especially when you haven't been the greatest at keeping up with them, and have been away for 9 months. It put a huge smile on my face, and I remembered to thank the Lord for tender mercies called friends. 

The next is for great person who you can be yourself around at all times even when your grateful or angry. I have one I have been hanging without a lot since I have been running the school scene again.  She is a wonderful person, a great florist, and someone I hope I can always benefit from her laughter and fun interests. thanks for putting up with me so much Kristin:) 

I am inspired by what the Lord never ceases to do for me in my life, Bless me. With opportunities to make money, to grow as a person, to grow as a florist, to smile, to cry, to be increasingly grateful, to learn, to build my testimony, to love those around me and to be loved by those around me.

Valentines Day(Monday)

OH my . Valentines was insanity at moments. It was a great day though. I was constantly in awe of our human nature to please one another on this day and how young this actually starts. I never even thought about a specific group of young lovers, I figured college town, college kids buying all the stuff. Oh boy was I ever wrong. The Middle school boys and the High School boys were  taking over!! buying balloons teddy bears, chocolates, chocolate covered strawberries. I couldn't help but smile. We are all in search of love, no matter your age, and valentines day is a day to cultivate it, maybe spruce it up, make it better,  or realize you have the wrong type of love. What ever the search is, its a great one.

in the words of Frank Sinatra (witchcraft),

not sure exactly what this is (Sunday)

I woke up this cold sunday morning in Rexburg with a push, to do what I am not exactly sure when I figure it out I will surely let you know. I woke up to" All I Ask of you" from Phantom of the Opera playing on my Ipod and had this swipe of the undeniable romantic in me, and the urge to dance to it. I floated right back to that night I saw it in London, and the completely rapture I felt as they performed that song on stage, I believe I teared up a bit, I was so enveloped in my own thoughts and wishes, ahhh it was a wonderful moment.

So I have had many things happen this week, I have been working, I have played basketball I have gone to school, gone to more school, hung out with my man, ate Thai food, watched Martin Roberts in the new movie " Just Go With It" worked some more, had a wonderful evening eating delicious Chili with Kristin Rob, and Kade, played a fun game and woke up this morning with a resolve to do something more with my life.

I am excited to figure out exactly what this is. I will be looking for inspiration and divine signs. I am so excited about whatever this is!!
Things to look forward to this week, Valentine's Day with the man in the pictures to the left, who by the way bought me flowers already!! My blog posts of pure inspiration of things I am actually going to resolve to do this month. Listen to music that makes me incandescently happy, starting with "Uncharted" by Sara Barellies them swinging into " All the Pennies" by Mindy Gledhill then end with " I Do" by Colbie Calliat.
 Plan my next big trip and the ways to get there. Road trip? Nail down my wedding shoots for BranchedOut. Then create the publicity. I am gonna cook to my hearts content( its gonna be great!) I am gonna love spending time with my awesome family this next weekend. 

everything else I have going on I will put on my happy face and hit the road running:)
