ROMA!!!!

So I have recently returned, Sunday, from one of the most influential, enlightening, spiritually uplifting, learning experiences in my life. I can't ever communicate my gratitude for this experience but I can attempt to show the world some of the things I learned.

So lets begin with Roma, the city of constant rush, pasta and gelato. Roma is enchanting because of its fast pace, the smell of pasta around each corner and the people. Roman people, are loud in your face and very Italian!  I am currently reading Eat Pray Love written by Elizabeth Gilbert. So it goes along with my life currently and I love that fact that she also starts in Rome.

One of my favorite things about Roma if not my favorite thing about Roma is that they keep a garden, just not in the usual place we Americans would think to keep a garden, in the backyard, or a courtyard, no, they keep them on the roofs and out their windows.

Another thing about Roma, it that it is so rich in history that we are still uncovering or cant uncover any more history with out ruining the history that is on top of it! The roman Forum has another 20ft underground that we know of!!!!

Our Tour guide, said to us," the more you know the more you see. " With this new outlook I took on the trip with a new goal, to know everything I could to be able to see all I could. So lets travel through these pictures and I will help you really see:)
this is the four rivers fountain in the Piazza Navona . It was created to show that everything begins in Roma and ends in Roma no matter what part of the empire you lived in.
Gelato is meant to be eaten all day long.
Eating with great company is crucial to your happiness in Roma
You must throw a coin in the Fontana de Trevi, in order to return to Roma
That green in a city is few and far between so appreciate when you see it and know that it leads to greater things in the case the Colosseum.
Roma was built to last forever, and that is exactly what this building will do. It will tell the world," Roma was here and will always stand as a great empire."
The bigger , the more power you had. enough said.
Great things are built upon small things that make up your greatness.
Often a combination of people makes for the best cultural experience. Spanish steps:)
The church is true, no matter who you are, where in the world you are, and what language you speak.
God made opposition in all things, he didn't mean that only one person can be right. There is truth in all places. You just have to be looking for it.
When in doubt drink water. Lots of it!
Continue eating gelato all day long.
Great views are made for those who try to find beauty in everything.
I loved this city, I found beauty and God in places I would never thought he would be, but it just proves his point we are all children of God no matter who we are where we live or what language we speak. I can not wait until I return to this city, to eat pray and love.
